The RON Loop:
Six Phases, Then Repeat

Every engagement runs the same six phases, in order, then runs them again. Nothing here is a black box — each phase produces a named deliverable, and we'll tell you which phase you're in at any point.

The six phases

Reveal, Orient, Numerate, Lay Down, Own, Prove

The order matters. Skipping ahead is the most common way AI SEO budgets get wasted — content investment behind a blocked crawler produces nothing, and citation building aimed at an unresolved entity mostly evaporates.

PHASE 01
R

Reveal

We crawl your site as GPTBot, ClaudeBot, and PerplexityBot do, then show you page by page what they actually receive. It's usually less than you'd expect.

PHASE 02
O

Orient

We map how AI models currently understand your brand as an entity — who you are, what you sell, who you compete with, and where their picture of you is wrong or missing.

You get: Entity + competitor gap map
PHASE 03
N

Numerate

We benchmark the baseline: which prompts your category actually gets asked, who gets cited in those answers today, and what share of them is yours.

PHASE 04
L

Lay Down

The build phase — technical fixes, schema deployment, answer-first content restructuring, and internal linking so every page is retrievable and quotable.

PHASE 05
O

Own

We earn the third-party citations, mentions, and references AI models lean on as evidence — through digital PR, listings, and authoritative placements.

PHASE 06
P

Prove

Monthly reporting on citation share, prompt-level visibility, and competitor movement across every platform. Then we re-run the loop on what moved and what didn't.

Why a loop

It's a Loop Because AI Search Doesn't Hold Still

A one-time audit is a snapshot of a moving system. Models update, competitors respond, your product changes, and a deploy quietly reintroduces a crawler block six months after you fixed it. Work delivered as a project decays; work delivered as a loop compounds.

So after Prove, we return to Reveal. Not the full engagement again, but a re-check: is crawler access still clean, has the entity picture shifted, which prompts moved, what did competitors do. That informs the next cycle's priorities rather than repeating last cycle's plan.

The other reason it's a loop is honesty. Running the same measurement monthly makes it obvious when something isn't working. A project-based engagement lets an agency deliver a report and leave before the results are in. This doesn't.

Questions & answers

Frequently asked questions

Why six phases rather than a simpler process?

Because the four failure modes — retrieval, entity, structure, corroboration — are genuinely distinct, and each needs both diagnosis and execution. Collapsing them produces engagements that fix the visible problem and miss the actual one.

The phases also make sequencing explicit, which matters because doing them out of order is the most common way AI SEO budgets get wasted.

Can we skip phases we've already done?

Sometimes. If you've run a recent credible audit we'll validate rather than repeat it. If your entity signals are already clean, phase two is short.

What we won't skip is Numerate. Without a benchmarked baseline there's no way to know whether anything we do afterwards worked.

How long is one full cycle?

The first pass through all six phases typically takes 90 days. After that the loop runs monthly, with lighter re-checks and a fuller re-audit quarterly.

Enterprise engagements run longer on the first cycle because discovery across multiple properties takes real time.

What happens in phase six if nothing moved?

We report that plainly and diagnose why. Sometimes it's timing — corroboration work genuinely takes months. Sometimes a tactic didn't work and we change approach. Occasionally we conclude the category isn't worth further investment and say so.

Reports that only show progress aren't reports.

Is this the same as other agencies' frameworks?

The underlying work overlaps with anyone doing this competently — there's no secret technique. What the framework does is make sequencing and deliverables explicit so you can hold us to specific outputs rather than a vague retainer.

We'd be suspicious of any agency claiming a proprietary method nobody else could replicate.
